Short version: Scanzo is a browser extension that runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the media assets you scan. The only data we receive is standard, anonymised website analytics — described in full below.

Scanzo is a Chrome extension. When you activate it on a page, it scans that page's network traffic and DOM to surface media assets (images, videos, fonts, documents, text). All processing happens locally in your browser.
chrome.storage.session, which clears automatically when you close the browser.When you visit the Scanzo website (not the extension), we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect standard, anonymised web analytics. This helps us understand how visitors discover and interact with the site.

We also use Google Search Console, which provides aggregate data about how the site appears in Google Search — search queries, impressions, and clicks. Search Console does not place cookies on your device and does not track individual users.
IP addresses collected by GA4 are anonymised before storage. We do not use GA4 data to identify individual users or to serve advertising.
This website uses cookies placed by Google Analytics 4. These are first-party cookies used solely for analytics purposes. See our Cookie Policy for the full list, their names, and how to opt out.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing analytics data is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, understanding how our website performs so we can improve it. GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. We do not retain any other personal data.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Since we hold almost no personal data, in practice the most relevant right is opting out of analytics cookies — see the Cookie Policy.
